4th of July

Our 4th of July included watching a morning parade in Danville - it was really hot and the parade was very long, so needless to say we didn't stay for the whole time. Late in the afternoon we headed over to a friends house who lives very close to where the city does fireworks, and they have a huge block party. Quinn decorated her bike for the "parade" and got to ride with a bunch of other kids. She keeps trying to tell us that she "won" the parade and we keep having to explain to her that a parade is not a contest...hmmm...a little competitive spirit in her I guess! In addition to the parade, there was an egg-toss and a bubble gum bubble blowing game...not to mention lots of food and a great fireworks show. We also got to show off Kennedy to lots of friends from church who hadn't seen her yet. Overall it was a fun and exhausting day. Chris was glad it was a Friday so that he still had another day off to recover before teaching on Sunday AM.

Quinn did a great job riding her bike. She has just gotten the hang of it over the last few weeks, but today was the first time she could ride around by herself and just have a fun time!

Trying to blow a bubble...

Quinn and her friend Nick...they loved the glow necklaces!
